DUMAC has restored and enhanced more than 1.9 million acres throughout Mexico

Ducks Unlimited de México (DUMAC) has restored and enhanced more than 1.9 million acres throughout Mexico in areas that are important for wintering waterfowl and other wetland-dependent species.

DUMAC has classified 27 million acres of wetlands and uplands as part of the Wetlands Inventory Program.

There are among 28 areas considered key wetlands for waterfowl in Mexico, and all are included in the DU Continental Conservation Plan.

DUMAC's RESERVA program is the first internationally focused, hands-on training program for natural resources professionals in Latin America.

The program's function is to provide the practical, fundamental skills to effectively manage wildlife and wild lands.

With the help of DU, RESERVA trained 119 professionals from 20 Latin American countries and one from Africa in 1998.
